SEp - OCT 2015
September was a busy month at Rancho Corazon.
September was a busy month at Rancho Corazon. Much like at the start of a new school year, Bruno welcomed a new class of 4-year-old prospects into the training barn. These five girls are nothing short of spectacular prospects and are great examples of the horses being produced by Rancho Corazon’s breeding program. In less than eight weeks, Bruno has transformed them from pasture ornaments to show horses, and we look forward to seeing them in the ring in 2016.
September also saw the happy departure of Cash RC, one of the 6-year-old geldings Bruno was able to develop over the summer. We congratulate Leigh Ann Hella of Albuquerque, NM, and her trainers Jose Luis & Marybeth Perez Soto of Tonaya Farm, on the purchase of 6-year-old Cash RC. Although we all are sad to see Cash move on, he surely is destined for great things with his new team.
Bruno spent the first two weeks of October in California, showing at the Del Mar International Welcome and World Cup Weeks. He brought three Rancho Corazon youngsters with whom he has been working since the summer — Catsina RC, Candescere RC and Cypre’s RC. All three showed with confidence, putting in clear rounds and demonstrating their skills for the future. Most exciting, however, was the performance of Bruno’s own horse, Enzo Ferrari. The 6-year-old gelding by Numero Uno laid down three clear rounds in the 1.30m jumpers, no small feat given the size and technicality of the courses.
With such a talented group of horses with whom to work, Bruno is looking forward to spending the remainder of the fall at the ranch.
